Evil Eye (Mati Xematiasma) Removal Being cursed by the eye is a belief held across many cultures. Warding off the eye through careful removal to disperse the evil & cast off the eye is held with the highest respect for ancestors & their traditional customs. It is believed the Mati (the eye) can be placed both unintentionally by both admiration/jealousy & intentionally through ill will. In a healing removal ceremony with Steph, she works with her team of Healer Guides & Greek Ancestors, as guided by them, to carefully remove the Mati & give insight into its occurrence with guidance on prevention.
